Dove's-Guide-Leeds

Submitted with proposal – 29th May 2009

Initial research tells us that there are at least five CofE churches within the four Deaneries of the Archdeaconry of Leeds which actually feature a bell-ringing group on their websites – and more than 10 others that are said to have a peal of a minimum of five bells but make no mention of a formal bell-ringing group on their website.

The five churches we’ve identified are:
A – St Peter’s Church (Leeds Parish Church), Kirkgate, LS2
B – St Chad’s Church, Far Headingley, LS16
C – Holy Trinity Meanwood, Parkside Green, LS6
D – St. Peter’s Church, Thorner, LS14
E – St Mary Church, Swillington, LS26

The orange tints cover a two mile radius from each church and indicate how the sound of church bells covers the city.
